“Breastfeeding was one of my top concerns for my newborn. During my pregnancy, Helen stayed responsive and provided me material (websites and videos) to help me prepare. After my labor,
we practiced several breastfeeding techniques and positions to see which one worked best. She also really made sure I got my rest and prepared healthy meals to ensure I had a well recovery, as this was my first pregnancy and I didn’t know what to expect. In addition, she answered all my questions and she being a native English speaker was very helpful :).”
“Having Helen come and help after the birth of our son was an absolute dream. As a lactation specialist she was able to teach me an incredible amount about breastfeeding, resulting in a rich milk supply for the baby.
What was quite exceptional is that she spotted the baby had lip and tongue ties, which explained why it was so painful when I fed and why the baby wasn’t feeding well. She was able to quickly arrange an appointment to have the ties painlessly lasered by an expert. Since then I have fed pain free and the baby has quickly gained more weight. We nicknamed Helen the Baby Whisperer as her endless patience, calm and experience worked wonders when the baby was screaming and offered us lots of peaceful time together. We learned a lot more than just about feeding- Helen taught us all the essentials, from bathing to baby vitamins, changing nappies to special exercises. Helen did so much for us in the house- making what my boyfriend described as the best breakfast he’s ever eaten and serving it to us in bed each day!! She also made delicious lunches, and all the ingredients were designed to boost milk production. Helen cleaned and did the washing, all the time being very discreet and giving us our space. Helen is a great person to have around in this first intense week, also as a good listener and a positive influence in the house. You will be very lucky to have her!”
